Daniel Holt.

Daniel is a warm compassionate Clinical Psychologist who has a focus on establishing a strong rapport with his clients before using a holistic evidenced based approach to help them achieve their therapeutic goals. Daniel has a history of working in Child Protection services, headspace and private practices across the Greater Sydney area. Daniel is a Clinical Psychologist and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Daniel works with a range of presentations including Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma and Stressor Related Disorders, Personality Disorders, body image concerns, and self-harming behaviours. Daniel also has experience in working with young people with behaviour concerns and procrastination difficulties.

Daniel practices at Northern Beaches Psychology & Assessment primarily using Schema Therapy (ST) and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), but also uses alternative therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Daniel works with Children (7+), adolescents, and adults.

Andrew Speers.

Andrew is a Clinical Psychologist who takes a warm and empathetic approach to delivering goal-focussed interventions to help clients overcome emotional difficulties and to thrive. He uses an evidence-based approach to treatment, focussed on alleviating immediate distress and promoting long-term growth and confidence.

Andrew draws on a range of therapies at Northern Beaches Psychology and Assessment to meet the individual needs of his clients, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Emotion Focussed Therapy (for couples).  Andrew works with adolescents and adults to help them overcome anxiety-related symptoms (including social anxiety, panic disorder, specific phobia, generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder) mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder) and issues to do with sexual and gender identity.   Andrew has particular interest in difficulties faced by LGBTQ+ clients and has volunteered as a counsellor at the Gay and Lesbian Counselling Service (Q-Life) over the past decade.

Andrew is also interested in cognitive, emotional and academic assessment, with experience in delivering the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC), the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) and the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT), as well as assessments for learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and commonly comorbid disorders (Conners 3), autism spectrum disorder (Autism Spectrum Rating Scale), and reading (NEALE test) and spelling difficulties (SA Spelling Test).

Belen Estrada.

Belen is an integrative, empathic, person-centred psychotherapist. She has more than 10 years’ experience in cognitive behavioural therapy, trauma-informed practice, and attachment-based psychotherapy from a developmental perspective.

 Registered originally as clinical psychologist in Argentina, Belen has worked with children, adolescents, and adults providing treatments in inpatient units, general hospitals, and private practice. She has also been engaged as a School Counsellor, working with adolescents in an educational setting.  

Belen is registered as a psychologist with the British Psychology Society in the UK.  She has an MSc in Child Development from the University of London. Belen has experience working as a psychotherapist with a focus on complex trauma, PTSD, and domestic violence. She has also taught psychology at the Oxford Royal Academy. 

 In addition to her work in clinical settings, Belen is also the President of the International Attachment Network of Australia.
